Building your ideal home is a big deal — we get it. At ideabox, we work at your pace to design, build and deliver the home you envisioned. We created a simple approach from start to finish to keep the process fun and creative.
Starting your design
This is the most creative step and every project is different. We are here to help you start.
Concept Sketch $500 — Start here if you have a challenging site, homeowner association requirements or just want to do some what-ifs. At the conclusion of this step you will have a fully developed concept sketch that provides a sense of the building placement, overall dimensions in plan and elevation that provide visual information to contractors with the direction of your project.
Concept Sketch & Site Visit $1,000 — This is for you if you have difficult access roads, a unique homesite, or both. We deliver all the above plus contract with one of our partners to drive the route and conduct a site visit.
Project Deposit $5,000 — When you’re ready to get going, the project deposit initiates the detailed Designing and Planning phase below. If you started with either of the above two steps, no problem, we’ll credit any of the above fees towards your project deposit.
If you find you are unable to proceed with your ideabox project, we will refund the Project Deposit, less any design fees based on time we have put into your project.
Designing & Planning
During this phase we work with you to finalize the details of your ideabox! Deliverables from this phase:
Detailed floor plan based on your requirements
Elevations representing your design on your specific site
Exterior and interior selections of your finishes from our options
Once you approve the above, we calculate the total build cost and estimated delivery to your site. This is presented to you in a purchase agreement that contains all the small print.
Building, Transporting & Installing
To start the build, you will be invoiced 50% of the home costs, which is non-refundable. The remainder is collected when the home is completed at the factory and ready for transport.
We build your home while you and your contractor prepare your site.
When everyone is ready, the home is delivered to your site, installed, and in no time you are moving in!
